The President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, called on the international community to intervene after Russia invaded Georgia's airspace Monday night and shot missiles, one of which did not detonate. Spokespersons from the Kremlin have denied firing missiles at Georgia, but Georgia's Vano Merabishvili, Minister of Internal Affairs, confirmed to reporters Tuesday at a press conference that missiles were fired.
