You know the theory "The Rich = No Taste"

Well this gentlemen confirms the theory , A Viennia company recently sold a pair of diamond studded Lederhosen to a German man in Dubai.

Though Lederhosen today do serve a purpose, mainly Oktoberfest and drink lots of Beer, and only if you have the legs for it.

One would wonder where in Conservative Dubai this man would wear it ? Is he going to wear it for shock value in a Dubai marketplace? Last time I heard Muslim Dubai have never hosted an Oktoberfest.

Women on the other hand admire a Man in a Kilt and Lederhosen , but again, you have to have the legs for it. Much like a woman should have the butt to wear a thong bikini.

For those Lederhosen afficiandos, I have taken to liberty to post people in Lederhosen, one famous, one not.

Perhaps I just have way too much time on my hands today. You know if Liberace were alive today, he would "OWN" those Lederhosen.

VIENNA -- An Austrian company said today it had sold the most expensive "Lederhosen" ever made -- a diamond-studded pair of Alpine leather trousers that cost 85,000 euros ($115,000).

The trousers, fashioned from the leather of a wild red deer and adorned with 166 diamonds set in gold, were bought by a German who lives in Dubai, according to Christian Wohlmuther, whose shop for traditional clothing made the special order.

Lederhosen, made for centuries from the hide of elk, goat, or pig, can last a lifetime. Often knee-length, they are sometimes elaborately embroidered with monograms and hunting designs and remain popular in many Alpine regions.[/q]
