Living the dream – three words that describes my world the best

Born somewhere near Baltic sea, grown up somewhere in urban jungles and influenced by different cultures now am standing on the land of Great Britain.

I never had a dream. I had a goal. A goal to achieve something big. But now am living the dream.

After years of disappointment I found myself in photography. In early 2007 got my camera and started playing around. I still call all the BIG thing as ‘playing around’. Because it is like that. My first photos, first mistakes and first highlights. Nobody believed I will keep it for a long. But soon after grandma told I was good. And despite it was the very beginning I applied for a photographer position. And when found it wasn’t my style I declined it. But during those few days I was told by one of the best photographers in the country “You are good. The angle, variety - it's great. I like them". And after this I started to look for my own style.

But 2008 was something different from previous years. Few weeks in The Netherlands, worlds’ best parties and conferences, new people, travelling all over the Europe and just enjoying my time in a hotel or somewhere in foreign country.

It was really successful year. From photos appearing on front pages to myself being captured during the best parties. Year of madness, business and fun. Year to remember. Year that has to be improved.

But even when it seems you achieved pretty much there’s time to go even further.

2009 is about even more challenges and news. New photos, new videos, new articles – it’s my perfect world. An old passion for writing comes to second life. There was time when teachers told am pretty good. But its time for other journalist to say the same. And they do.

But it doesn’t mean I’m stepping away from photography. I just got a bit different attitude to what am doing. It’s no more about the quantity. I want quality. And if that means few photos a month – let it be so.
