Girls Gone Wild Guru Goes to Jail _ 'Bout Time
'Bout time this guy is taken out of circulation. His commercials alone are offensive, much less the degradation of the actual videos. IMHO.
The Girls guy's wild days are over—at least until he can sort out this mess.Girls Gone Wild mastermind Joe Francis was taken into custody in Panama City, Florida, Tuesday morning, four days after a federal judge ordered him behind bars for contempt of court.
Francis
pleaded guilty in December to federal criminal charges of failing to
monitor the ages of the women in his videos following a 2003 shoot that
included two 17-year-olds baring their breasts. He was sentenced to
community service and ordered to personally pay $1.6 million in fines
and publicly acknowledge wrongdoing. Mantra was fined an additional
$2.1 million. He and his business empire copped a guilty plea to
similar offenses in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles in January.Francis still
faces state felony counts in Pensacola, Florida, for allegedly using
underage performers in his DVDs, charges that could land him up to 40
years in prison if convicted.
What's your opinion?

If these girls are under age then they need better parental guidance. First the Girls need to be reigned in then this guy wouldn't have anything to tape, now would he? So what was the Girls fine and sentence from that judge?

Perhaps you missed the part where alcohol and drugs were used to persuade these girls, no matter what their age, to expose themselves.
No matter, I find the constant barrage over many channels of these objectionable 'Girls Gone Wild" commercials tedious and offensive, and with harmful influence.
These kind of commercials should be banned. They are just as demeaning and offensive as Don Imus' remarks, or any of those other recent "slip-ups" by celebrities that have caused so much media coverage.
The idea of using drugs and alcohol, by this guy and the one who started these films, snoop dog, who was also believed to have used drugs and alcohol to get the girls to strip for him and his camera, is not good, sounds sneaky.
So. does that remind you of anything? like a recent case of a girl's disappearance from Aruba, and the reported bad reputation of the boys who were last seen with her, that they were known to have slipped drugs into girls' drinks?
Wonder how these 'good kids' got those kind of ideas?

Offensive to whom?
Why were underage ladies taking drugs and alcohol?
Perhaps they need a little better guidance as I said before.
Ban lacrosse to stop prostitution. That's as nonsensical as banning commercials to stop kids from taking drugs and getting naked, teach responsibility's and that won't stop it either, but it might help without slowly eviscerating the freedoms we're guaranteed
Fine him, jail him for giving drugs and alcohol if that's the charge. But ban the commercials? - ban car commercials too, they're offensive, they scream and insult my intelligence.
You said "who was also believed" That doesn't carry much weight in the LEGAL community.
I trust that law enforcement is onto (slipping a mickey) when girls and boys report abuse. I couldn't say who gets what ideas where. Einstein "got ideas too" - where, I can't say.
Are you dancing around it? Do you want Playboy and Hooters shut down too.
Protect the children, but don't CRush freedom on the march.
So, was it the judges daughter on the film?
Tell us something interesting...

What Snoop Dog himself said: "In court proceedings, Snoop said that the women voluntarily exposed themselves and "voluntarily consumed alcohol and other intoxicants" during the filming. " http://www.allhiphop.com/hiphopnews/?ID=3404
Michelle Malkin: "I am increasingly dismayed by the liberal assault on decency, the normalization of promiscuity, and the mainstream media's role as shameless collaborators."

Joe Francis faces charges "... this legal trouble is in addition to the 22 counts of racketeering, drugs and other illegal activities he has been charged with in Panama City, Florida.5 If convicted, he faces a possible 30 years in prison"

Most of these episodes are filmed at Spring Break, Marid Gras, other common events where young people are away from parental supervision, some for the first time.
But this isn't just about that, cuz anyone can see these commercials.
