Good Times at the Cochon de Lait Festival .

 This weekend we went to the Cochon de Lait Festival in Mansura La.    For those of you who may not know The meaning of Cochon de Lait  it is milk fed pig.   So there we ate lots of pork which had been cooked overnight and through some of the day. The food was very good the pork delicious and had such a good flavor. The Jamblaya was the best I had ever eaten cooked by a guy name Bruce. While walking through the festival you could hear the sounds of young ladies and boys competing for possesing the best pig call. It usually went something like this.    "Here piggy piggy piggy sooouuuuu wheeeee". Followed by some grunting noises. This was most intertaining. I do recomend if you are in the area to stop by. There were many activities planned during the few days of the festival but we just stayed for lunch Which was worth driving out of my way for anytime. And by the way, I ate the best funnel cakes ever at the Cochon de Lait.
