Real Estate Press - Google Base has added a ‘homes for sale’ bar on its menu bar.
This may be a good thing for consumers looking for real estate, but there is something that is bothering a few.

Realtors are concerned that no matter their ranking, they won’t reach
above the ‘fold’ in the page. Above the fold is where a listing needs
to be, for optimal visualization by consumers who do searches.

Since
Base is a free service, some feel that the space will be bombarded with
listings by realtors who just will upload all their properties from the
MLS onto the service.

SEO organizations could be
hurt by this new policy. Their clients spend large amounts of their
advertising dollars for top ranking on search engines .

It’s unsure at this time what the intent of the new Google Base listings are intended to accomplish.
