Adults in the United States hold similar views on two prospective Democratic presidential nominees, according to a poll by Rasmussen Reports. 55 per cent of respondents consider former vice-president Al Gore as liberal, and 46 per cent feel the same way about New York senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.Gore served as vice-president under Bill Clinton from 1993 to 2001. He lost the 2000 presidential election against Republican George W. Bush, after weeks of recounts and court injunctions in Florida concluded in a 537-vote victory for Bush. Gore recently was featured in the movie "An inconvenient truth", which discusses global warming. In June, Gore declared, "I have no plans to run for president again."
