Govt to ask foreign banks to finance purchase of sukhoi jet fighters

Malang (ANTARA News) - The government is considering to ask foreign
banks of South Korea and Russia to finance its plan to purchase Sukhoi
jet fighters worth US$350 million.

"Our team is still studying the possibility of the two foreign banks`
participation in financing the purchase of six Sukhois, the agreement
of which has been signed by the two governments," defense minister
Juwono Sudarsono said here on Wednesday during an inspection of the
Abdulrahmansaleh air force base in Malang, East Java.
