"By increasing CPO export taxes, we hope that supplies at home will be guaranteed while market operations will be conducted in certain areas or for certain groups of people where cooking oil will be sold at a low price," the minister said.

He said the government was also continuing to monitor CPO price developments in the world market.

"Price developments in the world market are showing a downward trend so that we hope that the cooking oil price in the country will also go down," the minister added.
