Grass Fire

We had strong winds here yesterday with gusts over 50 mph, which started fires all over central, and north central, Texas, as well as downing power lines, and delaying flights. About 2000 burned and at least 24 structures burned throughout the region.

This fire was one of the small ones, and was just up the road from us. Five fire companies came together to put out the fire.

The blue in the picture is the color of the flames. Something must be burning that caused a chemical reaction creating the blue flames.

Winds are predicted to continue the next couple of days.

Blue flames rose up out of this grass fire in Falls County, Texas. There must have been something burning that caused a chemical reaction with the fire, thus causing the blue color of the flames.
