Great news, dismal news
Four significant pro-life measures failed yesterday, according to CNA. Seven ought of eight states, where such measures appeared on the ballot, adopted constitutional amendments defining traditional marriage; the question in Arizona is still too close to call.
Here in Oregon, and in California, parental notification measures were rejected. South Dakota, which adopted its pro-marriage constitutional amendment, none the less rejected Referred Law 6, which would have banned almost all abortions. Missourians adopted Amendment 2, which will lead to the, wholesale destruction of human embryos and the exploitation of women who are used in commerce as egg-producers. Colorado adopted a constitutional amendment on marriage and rejected a law that would have established 'civil unions' for same-sex couples.
