Whether your mortgage lender requires you to donate to charities or organizations that support environmental initiatives or it won't even speak to you if you're asking to borrow for a riding staple, or a holiday or second home, it's becoming a big business to lend in good conscience.
Green mortgages work in one of two ways: either the lender will make some sort of 'donation' towards the environment on your behalf, or they will only lend on 'ethical' properties.
