Halloween Math: What’s the Story on 666 ?

I had promised myself that I was going
to try and dedicate the entire month of October to Halloween, and now I
was regretting it while I tried to come up with this morning’s math
work. Then it hit me-what’s really the deal with the number 666? It seems that there’s so much more info out there than there used to be.

Turns out, 666 has quite a history and it’s not just Biblical and
Satanic. Ah, but it also has quite a bit of significance mathematically
–more than I could even begin to go into. So why don’t you go see for
