4-year-olds sex education probe
The headline makes this more sensational than it is with the emphasis at 4 years old being on building good relationships. Young people tell us that the ins and outs of sex education are pretty well taught but the relationships bit is done poorly. So anything that helps our kids be me confident and emotionally secure has to be good. More relationship education alongside the sex please.
FOUR-year-old children should be given compulsory sex education in schools, two sexual health charities are arguing.
The Family Planning Association (FPA) and Brook are calling on the Government to introduce a form of sex and relationships education into the primary school curriculum to help deter young people from rushing into sex too early.
This in turn would cut the rate of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and abortions among teenagers, they argue.
