Adam Lambert Attempts to Explain Finnish Bar Brawl with Boyfriend
After causing quite the raucous in a Finland bar last night (December 21), Adam Lambert took to Twitter (and math) to explain a little bit about what happened.
Early this morning, the "If I Had You" singer tweeted, "Jetlag+Vodka=blackout. Us÷blackout=irrational confusion. jail+guilt+press=lesson learned. Sauli+Adam+hangover burgers= laughing bout it. :)."
As previously reported, Lambert and boyfriend Sauli Koskinen got into a violent altercation and were subsequently arrested after being kicked out of the Finnish bar Don't Tell Momma.
The fight reportedly began in the bar's back room and was continued out onto the street. Finnish beauty queen Sofia Ruusila was also involved when she was struck accidentally by Lambert.
According to a police source, Adam and Sauli were taken into custody around 4:00am and held for questioning on four possible assault charges. However they were released shortly afterward and TMZ reported that police do not plan on pursuing criminal charges.
Shortly after teasing his new single with a 30-second snippet, Adam Lambert debuted his upcoming album's first track titled "Better Than I Know Myself" last Friday (December 16).
The track's release follows a big week of news for the "American Idol" alum - as he also announced the title of his new album - Trespassing.
With the full disc set to be released on March 20th, Lambert describes the album as "an exciting journey through the past two years of my life. It's been a transformative period and I really wanted to make music from what I've experienced. All these songs honestly explore the ups and downs of my reality."
Of the long road to getting the record done, Adam shared, "I don't know how other artists do it, but for this project, I'm adopting the mentality of 'just keep writing and keep recording as much as possible.' And then when we know that we're ready to decide which tracks are going to be on the album, we'll look at everything and narrow it down."
