As a child Ahmad was unable to express his feelings about the different events and people that had affected his life in a negative way. He merely kept quiet and continued to live his life not knowing that taking this route would cause him to become a very dysfunctional adult. Not knowing why he felt so much fear when approached by people that may have needed directions or maybe just wanting to say hello, he secluded himself and drank heavily to try to ease the pain. Working a normal job or going to the movies was somewhat of a challenge and although he felt he could do these things while drunk or high he quickly realized he could not. After being fired from one job after the next he gave up hope until one day the unexpected happened. His godmother, a positive influence in his life decided it was time for her to take control of the situation. She loaded him up in the car and dropped him off at the recruiting station where he enlisted in the United States Navy. After 20 years of service, most of which he had to receive constant counseling and care, he was able to take back control of his life and admit to himself that  keeping quiet about something so  traumatic as a rape or molestation can destroy you and prevent you from being a productive person. Ahmad decided he would create a forum in which others are able to share there ordeals with the world. Speaking out against those that have hurt them and in doing so, healing the wounds that have debilitated them and caused them to be dysfunctional within society.
