On and Off

(Apologies in advance for the rambling)
I’ve been a bit of a mess this week, although there have been definite ups. Sunday, I had a couple of dizzy spells, and was feeling a little off. Monday, was spent in a headachey fog, and so, an appointment with the doctor was made. On the other hand, I had gotten a little money from selling some unneeded household items (extra tv, a small microwave my folks gave me, but I didn’t really need), as well as a benefits reimbursement check in the mail. So I had that going for me.

The doctor’s appointment showed that I did not have an ear infection, as I thought, but still had congestion, and fluid in my ears (from allergies). So, it’s a decongestant and Prednisone for 5 days to clear things up. Okey dokey.

Work has been slow for a while, which is good on the one hand, as it’s nice to have the break. On the other hand, it’s been mind-numbingly boring. Thank goodness for Flickr.

Today, I went back to exercise class (step aerobics) after skipping class on Monday. It’s an ass-kicker of a class, as our instructor also throws in a little circuit training in between step. Tonight, it was laps around the dojo, interspersed with lateral running. I did good, up until the last set of laps, when I pulled my, um, yep, my right groin muscle. To say it hurt is putting it mildly. Anyhow, I managed to throw my stuff in my bag, and drive home, all the way, sounding somewhat like a mildly crazed monkey (Ooh! Oooh! Aaah! Oooh! Aaahhh!) It was quite a picture.

Long story longer, I’ve been hobbling around, I’ve been icing it up, and of course, more drugs (ibuprofen, in this case) I just took everything I was supposed to, so hopefully, I’ll be out cold soon. I’m looking forward to the soreness tomorrow. I'll be like Kirk in "Wrath of Khan" ("I like my pain, I need my pain.")

Oh, yes, I spoke with my dad today (after having sent my folks the URL for my Flickr page). He now has a Flickr account of his own. Not many pics to start (slow download times), but I now have a visual of my parents' life in Puerto Rico. Love ya, Papi!

It’s only Wednesday. I’m hoping to win the lottery tonight, to even things out a bit. If so, I’ll have a more interesting story for you tomorrow.
