Anne's Diary - A mom's adventure in child care - Week 3

Earlier this week, my clock radio woke me up with a local NPR story about child care and housing in the San Francisco area -- both high-priced and hard-to-find commodities. Undaunted, I've decided to postpone any further visits to child care centers and caregivers this week. I'm still doing my research, but I need to focus more on the arrival of this child and getting my ducks in a row at work. My baby will be just three months old when I go back to work, so I'm focusing on learning more about factors to consider when I do in fact begin actively looking for infant care again. I'm also compiling a list of centers to visit and people to meet. Then, once the baby arrives, I plan to take him or her out on daycare field trips so that we can do the investigating together.
