Another Inconvenient Truth by Bharbara
WE ARE ALL BEING POISONED HERE AND EITHER PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW THIS IS HAPPENING OR THEY KNOW THIS IS HAPPENING AND CHOOSE TO DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. GARBAGE LEACHATE CONTINUES TO BE SPREAD ALL OVER THE STREETS AND LANES OF NORTH AMERICAN CITIES AND TOWNS. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING SINCE 1938 WHEN THESE TRUCKS BEGAN LEAKING AND DRAINING GARBAGE LEACHATE WHILE TRAVELLING THROUGH OUR COMMUNITIES.
I have tried to give a good idea of what is actually happening here.
Aside from distributing this video to the media I am sending this film to every environmental area I can think of, I am again sending this video to every Canadian Member of Parliament, every B.C. Member of the Legislative Assembly, the UBCM and Vancouver's Mayor and Council.

Bharbara,

Thanks for posting your video about this disturbing phenomenon. I do however have a question.  Aren't the sewage and street drainage systems separate from drinking water...? And what is the relationship between heart disease and contamination from garbage leakage?

Bharbara, you've convinced me you've done the work - it's authentic. I also think that you've been fair and thorough. I didn't get the sense that you were hiding your biases, or passing off other's work as your own. Or worse -- getting paid by those you cover -- so it's transparent and independent. I also think you deserve praise for being an eyewitness, and for your investigative efforts.

Very good stuff indeed. As a long-time activist for clean water,  I know that the amount of crap that gets into our water supply isn't publicized enough.

For example, the EPA has a good resource guide on protecting our water from storm runoff.

Here's some information on construction stuff affecting our water--and how it happens.

Although the Federal Clean Water Act of 1987-with some updates--is intended to focus on this problem, in reality it's still a major concern. This basic primer on storm drains and watershed concerns is a valuable resource.

People often don't realize that "storm runoff" doesn't mean just "big flood" runoff. The drain systems, most of them very old, will pick up anything that washes down: oil, gas, compressed yuck trickle, etc. The next time you see someone puking in the streets by a storm drain, think about it! (To be very blunt and gross.)

Keep it coming!

Bharbara, thanks for this. Leachate is scary stuff. Good luck with your campaign!

Hello Liamssoft;

I am not sure what you mean. When you click on the video picture and press the play button, do you get to watch the video?

Ryan, I hope I can answer your questions. About the leachate entering the water systems we have, I have to say that all of our drinking water comes from some lake or river. This is where I believe it enters into our drinking water. Some areas have totally covered systems containing their water but in many towns and cities the leachate flows directly into the rivers and lakes and from there it travels directly into the drinking water system. In some cases the only way for the garbage leachate to enter into the drinking water supplies is through the smoggy air. When the smog gets very intense and then it rains the leachate laden smoggy air gets nicely cleaned and the poisonous substances are left on the ground and in the water where it has been left by the rain. In larger cities we have whole systems that take out some of the impurities but they do not have the ability to test for all of the substances that are in the water. They also do not have the ability to remove all of the substances that are in the water. Some of the research I have shows what kinds of substances are found in water purification systems that we can hook up to our taps in our homes and this information certainly shows that a great deal of chemicals, bacteria and other things are making their way through the city water supply systems.
About the relationship between heart attacks and garbage leachate laden smog. I have always been curious about the viral connection of various diseases, heart disease being one. There are actually a few things that made me realize that garbage leachate laden smog is involved in certain types of heart disease.

* Within a 24 hour time span after smog alerts there is a major increase in heart attacks.

* In the early 1930's heart disease was rare. Compactor garbage trucks came on to the streets in 1938 and within 20 years heart disease was an epidemic. I will say that there were also many other toxic things that when all added together created this increase. My focus here is the viral/bacterial component of this epidemic.

* When looking at the major illness that are viral or bacterial in nature I always look to see where the viruses or bacteria are entering into the environment.

* Look historically at pandemics.

* Some heart disease is viral and I can best explain this by looking to the following excerpt from DISCOVER Science, Technology and the Future. Health & Medicine/Heart Disease, titled Mysteries of the Heart.
"Could viruses be causing the puzzling spread of artery-wall cells? The idea was not as bizarre as it sounded. Two decades earlier, the National Institutes of Health had become a hotbed of research on cancer- causing viruses. While that hunt had turned up scant hard evidence for a direct viral role in most cancer development, recent studies have shown that viruses and other microbes can be supporting players in the insidious onset of chronic--and seemingly noninfectious--disease. Ulcers, for example, used to be chalked up to stress; now studies show that infection with the bacterium Helicobacter pylori plays an important role."

I do not claim to be an expert in viruses and bacteria but I do know that if there is something that contains many viral and bacterial substances it should not be spread everywhere. One very good example in the area of extremely harmful bacteria being spread everywhere in garbage leachate is the Toxiplasma in kitty litter. This is very toxic stuff and it is one of the substances in garbage leachate that makes it so dangerous. Then there are the Parasites but I could go on here.
I mentioned a few of the things in garbage leachate that cause it to be so dangerous and each of these things are proven to be very bad for our health. The combination of all of these substances is what I find most distressing. We really do not understand exactly what we are mixing together and what ramifications that mixture will produce but we spread it everywhere and on everything. I don't know what is in this stuff. I don't know what this stuff does to us. I do know this stuff is very bad for our health and the health of the world and every living thing on it.
Hope this helps a bit.

Bharbara, Great story and video. Please keep capitals (uppercase) to a minimum as this kind of text is difficult to read. Good stuff.
