atheism viewed as human weakness

First let me say: i love the atheist Pat Condell like a brother, my nickname for him is 'mouthpiece of God', i respect many viewpoints of TheAmazingAtheist, for instance, he HATES promotionalism almost as much as i do, we cannot solve our problems 'praying to God for God to solve them for us', that's idiotic, the media pushing inane things like Justin Bieber (who the f really CARES?), the condescending smugness of Christians pushing “accept Christ or burn in hell!”,.. The list goes on and on (what i agree with him about).

However, as can be seen by recent comments on my article about 'sam's path to God', people just don't f'ing get it, do they? It looks like i must write now as if i were talking to a bunch of three-year-olds. So anyone who 'gets' the previous article on 'path to God', don't waste your time reading this one.. It's only intended for people who cannot seem to understand 2+2=4.

In the beginning, God created man.

There came a silly man; his name was sam iam.

He liked to say “i eat green eggs and ham!”

People would ask “Why do you like green eggs and ham?”

sam would answer “my name is sam iam..

i like to eat green eggs and ham..

i like to eat them here or there..

i like to eat them underwear.. ^^

i like to eat them with a mouse..

i like to eat them on a blouse..

i like to eat them everywhere!

i'd like to eat them in your hair!”

Pervert! See what i mean? Let me spell it out. In the story above, you assume i told it to three-year-olds cuz i mentioned that above,.. Then later, i say something about eating eggs from their hair but only you assume it's pubic hair, dirty mind. ;) As i wrote the story, i did not visualize talking to kids nor eating eggs from their hair.. i simply wrote the story for fun – for entertainment – and to make a point: you assume you know what i'm trying to say and from a negative standpoint, you assume negative things about me.

i'm ONLY interested in helping people. Sometimes it's about raising awareness .. k, most times it's about raising awareness :) When i write articles such as the last one, i'm trying to share personal experiences so that readers may connect (if possible) and relate them to their own lives.. i'm NOT trying to condescend or patronize.. If some people take them that way, truly, that's their own problem not mine.

You want to label and dismiss me? Go ahead! :) i have no ego attachment to my writings.. Tbh, i'm not especially proud of ANY of my writings so if you want to label and dismiss all of them, more power to ya! :) i can only tell you some experiences/ideas from a single human perspective with no obvious connection to others – other than the fact we're all human, we all have human needs, and we all have human weaknesses..

So from the perspective: i have a bachelor degree in psychology, i'm a human with basic human needs just like anybody else.. There were times i did not believe in God for various reasons: the need for independence, the need for autonomy, honestly – some resentment and hatred at times,.. And how can i NOT generalize to other human beings from my personal experiences? It's just human nature to generalize 'life lessons'. i rejected God at various times in my life for various petty reasons and now i'm wiser from those experiences. If some people want to denigrate those experiences and label them “invalid!”, go ahead! :) It cannot change those experiences nor erase them from my mind. Calling all my experiences “bullshit” only begs the question: what the hell did YOU blame God for?

That's none of my business and so i did not reply to the commenter in that way.. I'm not even curious what hell prompted them to get so defensive in their comment.. i just accept the fact we, each of us, have our own particular hell to deal with..

.. When i was most recently in Thailand visiting my son and writing about God-physics, i used to have conversations with Satan walking down the long country road.. At one moment, i realized “This is Hell!” .. “Earth is Hell!” Satan certainly dominates: politics, physics, war,.. What venue doesn't Satan dominate? So, oh my God, i realized .. This .. IS .. Hell! :( It was kind of frightening to see reality that way.. Not just kind of.. It was terrifying if true.

If we live in Hell, we're all 'prisoners of Hell', the damned.

At that time, i agreed with Satan that it was better i NOT write about this conversation.. If people accepted the view, many would just go bonkers and do whatever impulse came to heart – life would become literal 'hell on Earth'. If people truly embraced this 'realization', we'd all go mad.. It would be the end of the world. And so i decided to keep this 'revelation' to myself.. After all, it could have simply been Satan playing mind games with me.

My point-of-view at the time was: we indeed live in Hell; Earth is Hell. But that i would fight Satan every inch of the way. i refused to budge an inch to Satan. Satan will not win by demoralizing us. Satan will not win the spiritual war against him. i have that Truth in my heart. We cannot lose. The human heart is too strong to lose. i believe in us too much to lose..

i refuse to let Satan win.

.. Ya know, i cannot prove God exists. i cannot give one hard piece of evidence God exists .. But i can give a tremendous amount of evidence Satan exists: the Standard Model pulls us away from God, quantum cosmology pulls us away from God, ego, selfishness, and exploitation pull us away from God,.. All these things pull us away from God. If that's not evidence for Satan, what is?

Why would there only be Satan but no God? Unless this IS hell..

.. So to be on the safe side, let's assume this IS Hell and Satan dominates here.

Do we roll over and play dead? When does that work? Like never.

Let's fight the bastard. Let's NOT give into him this once. Let's evict him from Hell/Earth.

We don't need him anymore..

.. So where was i .. oh yea .. about atheism viewed as weakness. As you can see by my wording, i NEVER state atheism IS a weakness. i simply state atheism can be viewed as a weakness. When you reject God based on resentment, hatred, 'past wrongs', or anything negative, it's based on your need to reject God. Not the 'fact' God does not exist..

Let me repeat that so it's absolutely clear:

i never said atheism is based on weakness

i simply said “atheism may be viewed as weakness – if based on emotional rejection”

If your an atheist that has a healthy self-esteem, more power to ya! :)

If that 'self-esteem' crosses the line becoming arrogance/egocentrism, you're just begging to be 'shot down'.

Ego will be the downfall of man if we let it..

Before the fall from grace of Lucifer, he was the most brilliant beautiful creation..

Before pride got the best of him..

How does one have no belief in a god via emotional rejection? Sounds like your playing with words... Or, you may be mistaking atheism with agnosticism. Or, maybe a split brain patient battling within...A more intellectual standard would be; An atheist has no belief in a god due to no supporting evidence. As to your plea to abolish satan due to so many evil happenings across the globe... Atheist hold 'no belief' in satan either. Go figure!

A religitard believes in imaginary friends, fairy tales and spell casting, and those who deal in reality have a "weakness"?No wonder the godbot looks down his nose at everyone when he's got it stick so high in the air, "thinking" he's better than everyone else.

dudes/ladies, plz lighten up .. i'm NOT attacking anyone in these two essays about God (plz read my comment on the other article about God) .. Karin, from one perspective, you are being 'shanghaied' by Satan into believing he doesn't exist which of course - as part of pure atheism - cannot acknowledge.. you have integrity in your atheism (that's a good thing!) allow me an "amen" here! kudos to you in your atheistic integrity! :) that's a genuine smile from my heart :) but.. there are dark forces at work on this planet because it is somewhat of a jewel in the cosmos if only because of human beings.. (yes, squabbling hate-mongering human beings) i appreciate your joke about me: but i'm not divided inside anywhere in any fashion.. i'm an integral being - just as you are. see, this is the difference between your comment and P Smith's comment who only wants to label and dismiss me.. P Smith is labeling me a "godbot" who "looks down on everyone" .. but read the article above plz. and plz read the other article on God.. as i clearly state in both articles: these are based on my experiences - nothing more.. if you want to denigrate my experiences/perceptions, go ahead - you're completely free to do that.. but recognize what you're doing in the process:

1. you are denying my right to my own personal experiences and talking about them

2. you are automatically denigrating and dismissing me - exactly what you accuse me of

3. you seem intent on labeling and dismissing me - effectively invalidating me

this is psychological warfare when you do this.. nothing more; nothing less.

do i invalidate others in my writings? NO.

do i say "you must look at things from my perspective"? NO.

do i say "you are all just a bunch of weaklings"? NO.

all i said in my two articles on God was:

1. i pulled away from God in my own life from personal weaknesses

2. i'm a human being with weaknesses - just like any other

3. because i'm a human being with weaknesses - just like any other human being, maybe .. just maybe my life has some relation to other human beings who pull away from God

now i don't think that's a HUGE leap of logic in number 3 .. i'm not saying everyone who pulls away from God does so for the same reasons .. i'm simply relating my personal experiences and hoping others can gain from me relating them.. if ppl get hostile and defensive about their atheism, this tends to make me think there are reasons they're atheist they'd rather not acknowledge. and, if they use psychological warfare techniques on me, then perhaps the idea Satan is behind them is not so far off..
