The Victoria's Secret on Lexington Avenue in New York City is the latest well-known store to close due to a bed bug infestation. Reps for Victoria's Secret say that the bedbug invasion is an isolated incident. The Lexington Avenue Victoria's secret was closed for less than one day, and the affected clothing was destroyed.

The movement of bed bugs from mattresses to clothing racks, though, is not quite as isolated. So far, Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch have had to close their New York stores to fight off the bed bugs just this month.

Many of the Victoria's Secret Stores in Manhattan and possibly others in the other boroughs will be tested for bed bugs.

Bedbugs are one of New York's dirty little secrets, as they are more widely-spread than is commonly reported.

Bedbug experts say that Hollister's infestation is indicative of a wider problem across the United States, as the insects moving from the bedroom to more public spaces.
