Biak, Papua (ANTARA News) - At least 40 junior high-school teachers in Biak Numfor District, Papua, attended a life skill education program on HIV/AIDS.
The teachers were expected to become facilitators of HIV-AIDS awareness campaigns within their school environment, Wayan Jana, coordinator of the HIV/AIDS education program, said here on Saturday.
"This program will show the teachers how HIV/AIDS infection spreads, and they are expected to pass on the knowledge to their students," Jana said.
The education program was organized by the Biak Numfor education service in cooperation with UNICEF (United Nations Children`s Fund).
