According to the Associated Press, US Vice President Joe Biden has advised his family to stay away from planes and trains during the Swine Flu Pandemic. He made his declarations during an interview with the NBC Program "Today" Show.

The Office of Mr. Biden was forced to retract what he said since certain people stated that this amounted to "fearmongering". The office later commented that the Vice President was referring to travel to Mexico.

All of this from a Vice President who used to travel from his home in Delaware to his office in Washington DC by train. In other news from the CDC, there are 109 confirmed cases of Swine Flu in the United States of America.

The states affected are Arizona, California, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Massachusetts, Nevada, New York, Ohio, South Carolina and Texas

Joe is Joe,  has a habit of putting foot in mouth.  I don.t think he'll change anytime soon.

Senator MacCain was asked about this tonight and asked if he would avoid aircraft or trains.  He said he is going on an airliner tommorrow as they haven.t build a subway from Washington DC to Arizona yet.
