NP Rank:
Black Men and Misogyny
The following would be likely to get me accused of racism. My response is that I have never been racist; and as a Jewish person who lived in Russia for the first 12 years of my life I know enough about racism to refuse to extend it against anyone else.
The following has nothing to do with race and everything to do with culture. And while I do not, nor did I ever, attack people on the basis of their race, I have every right to confront wrong cultural practices. Having dedicated much of my life to fighting wrongs in white American cultures, fairness demands that I be just as strident in confronting wrong cultural practices among people who are black.
I have several very dear friends who are black women; and from them I've heard horror stories about how black men tend to treat their girlfriends and their wives. Commonplace is extreme violence, rape and leeching. The most common conversation starter among black men, as among Nascar Republicans, is "If I find my wife in bed with another man, I will shoot them both." What this means in real-world terms is that both of these cultures promote brutality and paranoia; and neither of the above is a prescription for a livable world.
There is a lot to respect about black women. They do all the heavy-lifting to sustain life in their communities. They work hard, they take care of the children, and they also have to deal with some of the nastiest men to be found. Whereas black men have distinguished themselves by their brutality and misogyny; and all their shouting about "hos" and "bitches" means that they simply don't know what they have in black women.
Perhaps their attitude could be corrected if they face exposure to the kind of ugliness that has been faced by white American men in liberal feminism-influenced cultures on the part of practicioners of toxic feminism. Perhaps they could do well to find out what a real "bitch" actually is like. But while they like to claim that they are disadvantaged, what they have in black women is women who are beautiful, who are sexually willing, and who know how to treat a man right. And to see them, instead of appreciating these women, treating them like dirt, is a vast injustice and an ungratitude that is stupendous and frankly disgusting.
While many people see those raised in upper and middle class liberal cultures as being spoiled brats, the black men who treat black women like dirt suffer from an even greater case of ingratitude. They have fine women in their communities; they get to enjoy what these women have to offer without appreciating them and without rewarding them appropriately to what they provide. It's a case of ignorance, brutality and stupidity having at its desposal something wonderful, upon which it defecates without recognizing its value.
The days of Jim Crow are long gone; and most of the problems, as well as solutions, come or should come from black people themselves. The brutality and misogyny of black men is a major problem - both to black women and to black people, period. The black men would do much better to take example from a gentleman like Barack Obama than from gangster rap cretins. It will benefit the 50% of black population who are women, and it will also give greater respectability to black men. And that will do much to improve life in black communities as well as giving black people greater respect in society.

I usually don't do this but this is a serious issue.
You could mix up with a heavy-lifting and caring AA women and make a hybrid son who wears wifebeaters but would still get a timeout whenever he doesn't show enough symphathy for the emotional needs of his wife.

maybe black men have a long way to be more gentle and civilized toward women, maybe.. but lets talk straight - I bet you agree, white culture in Europe and in US. is in general more promiscuous, more permissive towards unorthodox practices and cheating of partners. western culture {especially white} is trained to be gentle or weak towards trespasses. 100 years ago if a slovak or austrian peasant wife would cheat on her husband , he would break hands or beat up her lover and her too.. Today, people just wave their hands, say a bad word and life goes on.. its a cultural gap between permissive present style and the past. O.J. Simpson propably killed his white wife, but she cheated on him. I am not saying he did a good thing, but she was either sinful , had a bad character or was a bad and deceptive wife. He is a wild guy, I would not want him to by me friend, but he was raised to be tough by his parents {I guess} White guy would visit a shrink or he would go for sexual therapist or he would visit a prostitute. He woould not show strength or anger. just trying to forget and find a way out. thats the world we live in.

Matt, for such situations to result in mutual forgiveness and moving on is a great cultural accomplishment and something to respect about the parties involved. What we see here is goodwill that makes possible liberty. If a love triangle gets resolved peacefully instead of with someone being shot, then that is vastly to the credit of the people involved, and I hope that more societies become that way.
