Bodybuilders battle it out to become Mr and Mrs Muscle

There was plenty of muscle about on Venice Beach, California, as the world's top bodybuilders gathered to flex their pecs and battle it out for the title of 'Mr and Mrs Muscle Beach'.

A packed crowd of onlookers watched in a mixture of awe and confusion as a mass collection of bulging biceps and washboard stomachs took turns to impress the judges with a series of eye-popping poses.

The event featured men and women from across the age ranges, including a category for over 65-year-olds.
