British Mental Health System Used To Detain Suspected Criminals

A disturbing case has recently come to my attention regarding the north east london mental health authority of Haringey. A recent muslim convert after suffering harassment at the hands of his neighbours, as a result of his new found faith, was detained under the mental health act presumed to be suffering from auditory hallucinations. While being held against his will a community relations officer spoke to him asking incriminating questions regarding allegations of reprisals taken against the "ringleader" of the hate campaign. The doctors repeatedly raised the issue of religion during consultative questioning even when it wasn't perticularly relevant to do so. During an accompanied outside visit permitted during his stay the accompaning staff member antagonisticky offered the "patient" a bacon sandwich. Fortunatly this ordeal came to a fairly quick end and after seeking immediate legal advice the "patient" was released within seven days of a 28 day section and is currently looking to sue the health authority but apparently has a weak case. So that must then mean that this sort of liberty is being taken all the time and when they make a mistake it is more often than not brushed under the carpet to be forgotten about, until it happens again.

Just a thought

Being offered a 'bacon butty' in a country where bacon butties are commonly eaten, should not be a surprise. If the brother has a problem with it, maybe shouldn't pitch up in a non-Muslim country. If someone offered me a kebob in Saudi Arabia, I would not surprised of 'offended'.

Didn't they used to do this stuff in Russia ?

Also, please provide a link to media, reference to the police station where the guy is, etc ... something which backs your claim up !

Thanks . His name was greg something from south tottenham police station. Most of the staff at st anns hospital (n15) didnt do a very good job, I could sight the example of a patient that began to speak to himself three days into the stay of [patient A] the staff didnt take much notice of his deteriation . I sniffed out the ward drug dealers after four days some of the staff had been there years
