Brooke Mueller Arrested on Assault, Cocaine Charges

She's been struggling with her dependency on drugs for quite some time. and last night (December 2) Brooke Mueller was taken into custody by Aspen, Colorado police on suspicion of felony cocaine possession.

While details of the arrest are still unclear, an Aspen Police press release did say the ex of Charlie Sheen was booked on misdemeanor 3rd degree assault in addition to the charge of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. 

Authorities say officers arrested Mueller early Saturday after a woman reported being assaulted by her at a local nightclub. 

She made her $11,000 bail early this morning and has since been released from the Pitkin County Jail were she was being held. 

Mueller is due back in court on December 19th. Her attorney, Yale Galanter, declined to comment when contacted.

When asked if they were shocked by Brooke's latest legal trouble, a friend of the 34-year-old told RadarOnline, "This arrest is no surprise to anyone. Not her friends and not her family. Brooke's an addict. She's not serious about getting sober or getting help. If her kids aren't enough of a motivation than what is?" 

Sheen and Mueller's divorce was finalized earlier this year, with the parents to twins Max & Bob citing Christmas Day 2009 as the date of their breakup. Charlie Sheen was arrested in Aspen on that day on suspicion of assaulting Mueller. He completed his probation in that case last November.
