Charlie Sheen Confesses to Steroid Use During "Major League" Role
Talk about bringing up the past – Charlie Sheen recently admitted to using steroids during his role for the 1989 film, “Major League.”
The former “Two and a Half Men” actor opened up to Sports Illustrated and revealed, “Let’s just say that I was enhancing my performance a little bit.”
Charlie continued, “It was the only time I ever did steroids. I did them for like six or eight weeks. You can print this, I don’t give a f**k. My fastball went from 79 to like 85.”
While he took steroids to help him play Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn, a confident Sheen added, “I had a great arm. I was just born with it. I played at Santa Monica High, but because of academic s**t, they pulled me off the team.”
While he certainly excels at creating hype, it seems that Charlie Sheen is also good at coming up with things that don't pan out.
Earlier this week, rumors circulated that the “Hot Shots” actor was the subject of a bidding war for a return to television, with TBS pulling out all the stops to get him on their network.
However a rep for TBS told press, “TBS is not in discussions for a possible project with Charlie Sheen,” adding that they wouldn’t return him to TV at this time.
A few months ago, there was also gossip that Sheen had struck a deal with HBO for “Sheen’s Korner” with a per-episode payday of $5 million. That, too, ended up being bogus.
Meanwhile, the folks at CBS have figured out a way to kill off his “Two and a Half Men” character- they are considering having Charlie Harper drive off a cliff.
With his violent Torpedo of Truth Tour recently wrapped, Charlie Sheen remains locked in a legal battle with Warner Bros. over his firing from the CBS show. Two weeks ago he was dealt a major blow when a judge ruled that his $100 million lawsuit would go to arbitration instead of trial.
And as far as his personal life goes, it looks Charlie Sheen is officially back on the market, as he's parted ways with his last "goddess," Natalie Kenley.
According to TMZ, the 24-year-old model/graphic designer moved out of the troubled actor's mansion last week.
Unlike his other "goddess," adult film star Rachel "Bree" Olson, who dumped him back in April, Natalie stuck by Sheen's side and even hit the stage with him during his "Violent Torpedo of Truth" tour.
According to a source close to the warlock-Natty breakup, Charlie isn't "winning" since the split, telling Us Weekly, "He's not in one of the best places right now, things are very tense. It has nothing to do with her, [the relationship] just ran its course."
