Chinese Dairy Bankrupt after Tainted Milk Scandal
Dairy producer Sanlu Group, at the center of a melamine scandal in September which sickened nearly 300,000 and killed at least 6 babies, has filed for bankruptcy.
A court in Shijiazhuang, China, where the company is based, told CNN Wednesday it has received the bankruptcy application.
Baby formula produced by Sanlu — previously one of China’s leading dairy producers — was first flagged in the scandal when it recalled about 700 tons of the powdered milk in September after discovering the product was contaminated with melamine.

Whoever adulterated the milk powder should go to prison, not just go bankrupt.
It just keeps happening over and over with the Chinese...it's either melamine or antifreeze ingredients in medicines or lead in children's toys.
What are we going to do, wait till everyone is sick before governments wake up and force China to start their OWN testing of every product they produce???
I go out of my way to boycott every product made in China now.
Every product.
It it says "made in China", I don't buy it. Period.
