Clarcon Hand Sanitizer Recall: List of Recalled Products

Clarcon is recalling its hand sanitizer products due to the presence of bacterial infection. FDA tests found that the products contained bacteria which cause skin infections.

The products included in hand sanitizer recall:

Citrushield Lotion
Dermasentials DermaBarrier
Dermassentials by Clarcon
Antimicrobial Hand Sanitizer
Iron Fist Barrier Hand Treatment
Skin Shield Restaurant
Skin Shield Industrial
Skin Shield Beauty Salon Lotion
Total Skin Care Beauty
Total Skin Care Work

If you have any of these products, throw them away. They're dirty.

For a skin-care company, finding disease-causing bacteria in your anti-bacterial hand sanitizer and lotion has to sting.

And that’s unfortunate for Clarcon Biological Chemistry Laboratory Inc., which is voluntarily recalling several of its skin sanitizer and skin protector products because of high levels of potentially dangerous germs found lurking inside.

I have been reading several articles on this issue. Why are the specific strains of bacteria not listed anywhere? Could it be because they do not want us to know that these sorts of products do more harm than good? What happened to soap and water?

What about sanitizers sold under the name of the drugstore. For example I have some that I got at Walgreens, and bears the name "Walgreens," No where does it tell who the manufacturer was. How can I tell if it is safe to use.

I also just heard about this on the first of August from my wife who is a nurse,

they didn't know anything about it at the hospital. Until she mentioned it.

I am so glad I found your post honestly. I was searching the internet for some information about this medicines cause I had no clue they are dirty. Thanks you you I threw away 2 of those products because of the harm they could of made to me.
