Cobra Venom Cures Arthritis Symptoms
Cobra venom cures arthritis symptoms, according to early tests performed at the University of Calcutta. The cobra venom study is based on hundreds of years' worth of anecdotal claims that snake venoms can cure arthritis: now, though, that idea has been taken into the lab and shown to have at a degree of truth.
The good news: cobra venom can erase arthritis symptoms.
The bad news: you have to be bitten by a cobra. Clinical trials on humans have not yet been performed (which comes as zero surprise; would you volunteer?), though ointment-based trials are underway.
"We have already prepared such an oil-based preparation (for topical application), which is showing very promising results on humans," Gomes, a professor of physiology at the University of Calcutta, said.
I shouldn't have to say this, but, if you suffer from arthritis, don't go and get bitten by snakes and hope for a John Locke-style recovery. Please.
