A team of Australian scientists have found a way to repair a patient's damaged cornea... by applying the patient's own stem cells onto a contact lens, and placing the lens onto the patient's eye. The stem cells then grow into the damaged parts of the cornea over the course of a few weeks.

The procedure requires no operations.

The treatment was given to three patients by a team from Australia's University of New South Wales. All saw improvements within weeks.

It sounds so simple, but the ramifactions are huge- concievably, the procedure could be applied to skin as well.

Good news...but if the far-right Christian's in the United States would have their way, NO STEM CELL procedures would be allowed.

It's so good Obama was elected because he is allowing stem cell research.

Bush would not allow it.
