Vanity always vanity...Accept yourself for the unique expression of infinite consciousness that you are and you don't need vanity and expensive and dangerous procedures to feel wonderful about yourself.

Women's lives are being put at risk by cowboy cosmetic surgery clinics using irresponsible adverts to seduce them into having operations, plastic surgeons warned yesterday.

Many procedures advertised  -  such as lunchtime facelifts and discount five-in-one operations  -  are at best ineffective and at worst dangerous, the experts say.

They highlighted the risks of multiple operations, which can increase the risk of infection.

renovatio, I like this story. It's good stuff.  Sometimes it's not vanity, it's the desire to hold or get a job.  For women, appearing most like an ideal will be the deal clincher.  Look at CNN talking heads.  There are no wrinkly gray haired ladies there.  Barbara Walters seems to be the only top TV survivor in the women's ranks but you can see many "distinguished" men pontificating.
