the cure for AIDS

If i tell you i have the cure for AIDS, will you keep reading? i personally don't but i can tell you where to look. i'm not a doctor nor biologist but i've studied enough of both to make educated guesses (in much the same way i'm not a physicist but have studied enough of that to determine what direction we need to take to make true progress). Let's assume for the moment i'm not totally wacko and have something valuable to offer physics. In much the same way, i have something valuable to say about HIV/AIDS .. First i want you to check out the Yahoo Group called "HIV Does Not Cause AIDS" and study what they have to offer. Then i want you to study Oriental medicine and digest their approach. Finally, i want you to study Amazonian shamanism and what they have to offer. i guarantee that you will find the solution among them.

If indeed HIV causes AIDS (if AIDS is caused by a retrovirus called HIV), then i suggest you focus on Amazonian shamanism and Oriental medicine. i bet my life the cure is there. In fact, i'm so confident, i reiterate: i will publicly shoot myself in the head if you cannot find the cure there.

As in physics, the solution presents itself with a shift in perspective. Many if not most problems are solvable this way. What took me 30 years to solve in physics would take a professional at most 3 years. So if we sent test groups of severely afflicted AIDS patients to the Amazon to be treated and China, i would be aghast if we did not see remarkable results from both groups. Of course, we should reserve two control groups in America: one who volunteers for no treatment and another who takes American 'standard' treatment.

.. At first, i was thinking of asking all AIDS patients to boycott the drug companies by refusing American treatment and this would likely force any existing hidden cure to the surface. But this is asking too much of the patients. Many would likely die in the process. So i cannot reasonably ask them to make this sacrifice. But it's an interesting idea is it not? Force release of the drug companies' stranglehold on our throats.. An interesting test of character.. But i cannot ask that..

.. In my reckoning, human civilization is about 10 years old (if 10 generations is 'one year' and we use the time of Buddha as the beginning). Many, if not most, people will scoff at above and just dismiss me (just as they dismiss the physics). But think about this: if i'm not crazy, if what i have to offer is actually of value, then we could think of 'my physics' as a gift from God on our 10th birthday. When we think like this, it's a beautiful thing. God loves us dearly and does not want to see us destroy ourselves or live without meaning. God cares about us. God wants us to know we have all the solutions to all our problems: we just need to look in the proper places.

This is our 'coming of age' birthday; make it Meaningful; accept God's gifts.
