The high-fashion shoes expose the foot’s flesh to intense sunlight, which can cause deadly tumours, just like the one that killed music legend Bob Marley.

Now wearers have been told to be careful when they expose their feet to the sun in flip-flops. The warning came as one clinic revealed it has seen an increase in patients with sun-related foot cancer in the past three months.
