Dara-Lynn Weiss Photo: Vogue Writer Puts 7-Year-Old Bea on Diet
Dara Lynn Weiss Put Her Daughter Bea on a Diet and Wrote About it in the April 2012 Edition of Vogue. Here is a Photo of Dara Lynn Weiss and Bea
It seems a March 2012 Vogue magazine article by Dara-Lynn Weiss is sparking a fair amount of controversy. The Manhattan socialite penned a Vogue article about how she put sever 7-year-old daughter Bea on a diet.
Bea was then 4 feet, 4 inches and 93 pounds. Dara-Lynn Weiss then her 7-year-old daughter on a "Weight Watchers style" diet and occasionally "deride Bea for not refusing the inappropriate snack."
Jezebel has a thorough breakdown of the Dara-Lynn Weiss article, explaining just how messed up it is.
Jezebel also reports that Weiss' article is now being turned into a book.
This isn't the first time that Vogue has gotten into trouble for its portrayal of young girls. Last year, a photo shoot with 10-year-old French model Thylane Loubry Blondeau caused a stir.
By the way, here is a Dara Lynn Weiss photo with daughter Bea from Vogue Magazine. She looks like a perfectly normal little girl. Hopefully, her mother and her new book don't ruin her life.

I have struggled with weight all my life. I wish my mother would have served us weight watchers instead of fried chicken (cooked in lard), masked potatoes (cooked in lard) and butter gravy. I have 2 children that are not overweight but if they were I would put them on a diet!
