Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher Announced on Twitter They Are Undergoing a Master Cleanse

They started on July 10 and celebrity couple Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher will be undergoing a master cleanse for at least the next 10 days.

Some call it a fad diet, while others see it as a legitimate form of getting healthy and flushing out your system, but the Master Cleanse is a liquid diet that is recommended to be followed for at least 10 days.

It consists of fresh lemon juice, rich maple syrup and cayenne pepper all mixed in water and it is required that a person drink between six to twelve glasses a day when they feel hungry. You must also take a morning and evening laxative, or you can do what is called the 'salt water flush'.

Demi and her husband are doing it together, which will no doubt help them stay motivated, but Ashton seems to need some convincing after this tweet:

9 hrs into the master cleanse. I want a steak, a beer, and a blow-pop. Hmmm this is gonna be rough.

Demi appears to be more excited about it on day two:

2nd day of master cleanse and off to hike with hubby and the dogs. 2nd day better than the 1st!

She insists that they are not doing it for weight loss, but for health reasons, although there has been some debate as to how healthy this diet actually is for the human body.

I don't like the sound of this "salt water flush", to be honest. Not one little bit.
