Who would have guessed the risks and health effects of drinking de-mineralized water? Distilled, reverse osomosis...etc. Everyone thinks that the more suspended solids we remove the better the water is. Here is a report from the World Health Organization that discusses the health effects of drinking water that has all minerals removed... minerals that occure naturally in water sources. A bit of a long read but very informative and if the Biphenol-A hasn't kept you from drinking bottled water that this will keep you away from Aquafina for sure.

This is bogus, all studies to that regard state no adverse effects what so ever.
The study is from 1993, has since been revised and proven as unfunded.

The study is from 2004 and references studies from 1960 to present (respectively). However I do still agree with lingering skepticisim regarding "pure filtered" water. The study is probably one of the most unbiased studies you'd ever find, being W.H.O., and it pretty much suggests that there are some risks to having water with no minerals and even recommends certain amounts. Whether it's gospel or not who knows but the studies referenced and suggestions made are not 'out of this world' unrealistic.
Thanks for reading,
