Desmond Hatchett is 29 and has fathered 21 kids, insists it's ok

Desmond Hatchett from Tennessee is only 29-years-old, but already he has fathered 21 kids with 11 different mothers, but he insists it is ok, and that he knows all their names, ages and birthdates.

The childrens' ages range from a newborn to 11 years old, but there is a major problem in the fact that Desmond Hatchett only works a minimum wage job, therefore each child only gets two dollars each a month. Therefore, the state and taxpayers are having to foot the bill.
It begs the question . . . how many is too many? And who, if anyone, is to blame for this situation? Hatchett? The moms? Certainly the kids aren't to blame!
He says he’s done having children, but at the age of 29, he’s got a lot of baby-making years left in him.

Yes, this is one of the most important topics we are afraid to discuss because it might become "scapegoating single mothers", when that is not the case at all.
All involved here, mothers, this rat of a man, his parents, relatives and friends and the parents, relatives and friends of the women involved are all responsible.
Frankly, he should be paid to volunteer to be sterilized.

This is a sad story one that can only be followed by a shaking of the head. I am upset that this young man has taken this course in life. I blame him and the mothers, but most important I ask the baby mothers why do they have such low self esteem to let this low life of a man do this to them. I am not so concerned with the children as i am at the possibility of him spreading disease around.

I am sorry to say this, however, in light of today's challenges we are being faced with, such as over population, Pollution, Depression, Children's well fair and Social justice for all. It may be necessary to implement mandatory Sterilization for all Man and Woman alike that have conceived or given birth to two children.
I am aware that this will open a whole new can of worms and many will cry out against this, still what comes first the well being of all of Humanity and its ability to survive and strive or the rights of some irresponsible individuals that have no care for the future nor the consequences of their actions.

Who is then going to implement it. I just have one thing to say, to you, don't get personal about this guy and his life. I wonder why the mothers all want to get money from him, all at once.
No one has the right to sterilise anyone. The women wanted children, but they also want to make life a hell for this man. Many fathers run away or deny the children.
There was hunger many years ago when the world was not up to population six million. What I think is that the man in question needs help and not to say that people would be sterilised. that statement is really brutish if you ask me. It is free world.

That guy needs help but I think the guy just wanted to get into records that's all.
But if the women knew that he was broke and they were still willing to have children and some had more than one then they to need to get help psychologically and they are the ones who need it the most, cos unlike many women they really wanted to have children. I know that this story is diff cos children came out of it, men have multiple partners every now and then, but the fact that these people have children may be that they all really wanted to make people shocked like they have succeeded.
Maybe they are just whey back in time, or something. this story is sad.

Did the girls not know he was broke when they decide to have children. Those girls are shameless to even be coming out to talk as for the man , he is paying for not wanting to keep to one of the girls. No one should be pitied here. What if he says that they never agreed to have children. Anyway he is a scape goat for other men. Those girls were competting maybe trying to see if one of them would finally gt him or what or are they not sick too and should also get a sentence to go to a centre for mental heath.

Wow....that's about all I can say....other than ALL partys involved (him and each mother) were equally irresponsible. And, wouldn't you think that any halfway intelligent woman would NOT WANT to have children with this guy knowing how many kids he already has and is unable to care for them financially? Sorry, but I think the lot of them are all ignorant and the ones who will have to pay will be the taxpayers and the children. Nice job, you irresponsible dumba$$es. There are many lonely women in the world, especially his world. They want to have babies, they don't care who fathers them, they just need a donor. Having a child makes a woman feel whole. Desmond will be a grandfather by the time he's 34 and a great gandfather before he turns 50. No doubt, when Desmond passes away, he'll have children that are 40 years younger then his grandchild. Wonder how many of the 21 are named Desmond?

I dont know what to say, besides that since it is free world it is all good.
But the thing is that maybe this guy wanted to get into world records and he has succeeded. Each child gets two dollars. Well What i think is that the mothers may be funny people really.
But since each of them has just two it is all good. As for sterilisation, I think that is stupid. I have one thing to say, peopl have the choice to make in life. This topic is just shocking.

I have only one thing to say about all this. Did both parties agree to have children. The first girl to comment said: do they know nothing about birth control. So it is clear that, this should be the general thought of any girl who is in that part of the world and even her( any 'educated' girl) So why did those girls choose differently. About income, did they not know he was paid low. Another thing is it appears each of the girls know each other or do they not? Another thing I wonder about is, If there is this, about lonely women, that man is not the only man in the world. Did it just happen that eleven, girls decided to get into this kind of situation, and then coincidentally they were eleven of them or was this guy not just looking to make news and then encourage the women to have children. Is it then also possible again that this guy is just a simple guy whom eleven 'simple' girls decided to have children for and then all begin to expect this man to perform magic to provide for the children. Are these woman worth pitying. Did they suddenly just realise that they were eleven and decided to get back this way.
Is it that this man is just one of the other men who got involved with many women, but this time, all the women decided to bring the children home. To me this story is something to laugh at.

It seems all of them were hustling and did not know about this guy's deals and just realised maybe. That guy is a 'simple' guy who is paying for a crime that many guys get away with, maybe not up to twenty nine, but five hundred and fifty five abortions.
So let he who is without sins cast.
I am sure that abortion and pills are not the only birth control., the best to me happens to be getting a lifee: which is my advice to those girls, and to the guy as well as getting a stedy and resonable relationship and home and family life.

My brother is a very emotional and kind hearted person and many girls just like to be around him. After all he was wrong to have had all those children when he could have been more realistic, but are you going to nail my brother. I just fell bad. but he thought he would be wronger to abort the kids.

I don't women are lonely, but many women want to have children. Now they have children and they knew he did not have money, why then are they all making noise. They should beg the government to give him a good job.

MemphisTN (my city) 16 year old girl runs into laundry and hides under a pile of clothing, she is running from 17 year old father of her YOUNGEST CHILD AGED 13 months. SHE HAS 3 children all different fathers, and she's only 16 and the last baby was born when she was 14 or 15. (YOUNGEST aged 13 months - what was she TWELVE when she had her first kid?) anyway, 17 yr old baby's daddy finds girl in laundramat and shoots her in the head.
MEMPHIS - 17 year old has 3 children, one on way. 7 arrests. two children 10 months old, when asked if twins, answer NO by two different mothers. 17 and 4 children. This is Memphis, This is Tennessee (where hatchett lives) and they are always black.
mothers with multiple children, multiple partners, seem to allow their young daughters (AND SONS) to do whatever the hell they want, and don't see anything wrong with spewing babies out like door prizes.
