...don't let him into your bed too soon!

Researches on rats have shown an interesting phenomenon. The more time you keep him waiting, the more likely he will stay faithful to you.

This is the theory. Men inseminate and look for someone to carry our offspring. Our job is to ejaculate as soon as possible, then find another woman and ejaculate as fast as possible again. Women have developed a special method to keep a man. Now the method has been confirmed through experiments, at least on rats.

In this experiment, they placed a male and female in the same cage, separated by a barrier. There is a hole in the barrier through which only the female can go, while the male cannot. The researchers at Concordia University put 20 couples in a cage with 4 holes and 20 couples in a cage with only one hole. In the cage with only one hole, the male was very impatient and got stuck in the hole many times, so the insemination took part much later. The female can either not get to him because he is stuck in the hole, or she escapes if she is not ready to mate. In the cage with four holes the female can also escape, but she can go to the male’s side of the cage if she gets horny.

After the successful mating, they moved the couple to a bigger cage with no barrier and added another female. With the males from the cage with four holes about half “remained” with the old rat, while the other half chose the new one. The males from the cage with one hole preferred to stay with the old partner in 80% of the cases.

The researchers explain the phenomenon chemically and psychologically. The long wait of a male causes his sexual urge to gather, the release is therefore stronger and creates better sensations. A rat “orgasm” triggers a wave of hormones and neurotransmitters, like testosterone and dopamine, just like with a man. The males obviously connect this to their female. James Pfaus, a psychologist from the aforementioned university comments: “Whether it's simply a stronger dose of the usual chemical rewards or some in addition, we don't know. But something is making this sort of mating more rewarding to the male or rewarding in a different way.“

If we transfer this to humans, the old wisdom of no sex until marriage makes more sense. If a man’s first relations are a result of waiting for years, putting it off, effort, the beloved woman will remain the only one in his eyes. If you let a man into your pants right away, it will be just one more orgasm to him. The substances released during this will not leave a lasting impression on him and you will not be able to hang on to him forever. But this is just speculation not to be taken too seriously. But you can make a barrier in your bedroom with one of these holes and you will see how quickly your sweetheart gets stuck.
