MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan Yells at Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL)

Dylan Ratigan yelled at Rep. Debbie Wasserman during an interview about health care reform. While I understand the passion from both sides of the issue, if you're yelling, it doesn't make you sound smart. Okay, it's way more fun to watch than normal interviews, but step #2 in asking a question is shutting up and letting the person answer. Dylan Ratigan comes across as a bit of a blowhard, actually, which is probably not what he was aiming for. Well, who knows: maybe it's exactly what Dylan Ratigan was aiming for, since shrill sells.

Also, if the screen is yelling at itself, there's no reason for us to yell at the screen, which is the entire point of watching the news.

The Congresswoman told Ratigan, "You can be your own guest" and he accused her of using standard talking points and said the interview was a waste of time.

I don't think it was what he was aiming for. (Shrill sells.) I think Ratigan was extremely frustrated (as are many Americans) that the Democratic Party is selling it's collective soul to the health care industry.

Dylan Ratigan is right the congress is  pulled a fast one. And the people are fed up with lies and congress leads the way.

I couldn't disagree with you more. Her coming on to a show to spew out talking points is not what the viewer wants. He's just fed up just like the rest of America is with lying politician that only care about winning their seats back in the next election. It's really not that hard to see here.

Actually I think Dylan is right on to ask her to answer his question - I'd like to know if she knows enough to answer his question - I think he was frustrated with the lies - and I say GOOD FOR YOU DYLAN!!  He is exactly what MSNBC needs...honesty - you should hear his views on the government bailout of banks - and the guy is a capitalist!  keep up the good work...

I don't know if Wasserman was there to "spew out talking points" or not. Nobody knows what she would have said because she was not given a chance to talk. I think she used remarkable forbearance in the face of insufferable behavior. And "You can be your own guest" is a brilliant response, a classic.

I watch MSNBC everyday. Generally speaking I respect the opinions of your hosts, even if I do not agree with them.  Many viewpoints should be sought by any thinking person. But Dylan Ratigan's extremely macho harrassment of the intelligent and thoughtful Debbie Wasserman Schultz was obnoxious, disrespectful and totally out of line. He never allowed her to finish a thought before screaming at her in a, to say the least, demeaning and insulting manner. Shame on Dylan Ratigan! She was so gracious, never raising her voice, and totally assessing his behavior in a rational, albeit frustrated, manner. Kudos to her! She never tried to out shout him, which is a true testament to her superior intellect.  I laughed when she said he was asking and answering his own questions so why ask her on the program? Good question! No wonder he got fired from a previous job. Who would want such a pig to represent them? I say fire the bloke as quickly as possible. He is an embarrassment to what MCNBC allegedly stands for.

It's about time people stopped being apathetic, fence sitting, conforming apologists.  Congress is a front for Big Corporate interests and poor Dylan has just figured it out... He's some peaved off!
