Europe's last holdout relents: Multiculturalism has failed

Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel has stated to her citizens and the world on Saturday that Germany’s attempt to create a multicultural society has "utterly failed,”

Germany, though seen by many as making an attempt to make multiculturalism work, in part through guilt by the sins of their forefathers and in part to provide a home to those without a home.

Like falling domino’s, Germany, despite good intentions is the last holdout trying to make multiculturalism work, despite the rest of the European Union admitting multiculturalism is a dismal failure.

Europe, after World War II saw many European immigrate to the West to forget the horrors of war, German citizens were no different. Rebuilding post war Europe required labour. Labour came in the form of unskilled immigrants, most coming from the sub Sahara and African countries, followed by others from Indus regions and Asian cultures.

Many of these immigrants came from former European colonies; mutually beneficial to both the immigrant and host country, eventually high unemployment and the downturn in the economy saw both unemployed native born citizens and immigrants hit the streets in protest, with riots in France and Britain being the most active.

In the 60s, 70s and 80s Europe was dominated by liberal left of centre governments, perhaps a refreshing change that many pre World War II European citizens and successive generations born after World War II saw as a better social alternative than previous fascist regimes or extreme right of centre ideologies past Europe citizenry endured.

Italy, Spain and Greece being immigrant ports of entry saw many African immigrants filter into central and northern Europe where generous social programs were plentiful. While skilled and educated immigrants from various Indus regions and Asian cultures seem to flourish economically and socially, African immigrants for the most part were still unskilled, uneducated, ghettoized and less willing to assimilate with disenfranchised immigrants and their native born children looking to the Islamic religion as the answer to their predicament. The old American adage “Rich Whitey always keeping the poor Black man down” seemed to be a convenient excuse for their dismal failures in life.

In the United States Islam among disenfranchised black youth seem to be a calling for the newly converted Muslim youth looking for answers why they are not all they can be beginning in the 1960s through to the 1970s. Unfortunately, Muslim converts and their European immigrant counterparts took to the radical aspects of Islam, interpreting what they saw as a violent means to an end, rarely concentrating on the good.

While Islam, Christianity, Judaism and other religions all have positive and negative aspects of war and strife. War and strife seem to be their calling, with religious leaders all too willing to boost the fortunes of their flock.

Mainstream Arab Muslims, the educated, articulate professionals today still consider the uneducated Muslim, especially their African Muslim brethren ( which number 316 million in Africa alone) as the proverbial poor illiterate socially challenged red headed stepchild, not to be seen, nor heard, regaled to ghettos far removed from society in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Brotherhood has its price at a distance.

Multi-culture much like the term minorities is mistakenly deemed by race; though we have poor cultures, rich cultures, criminals cultures, drug cultures etc……as many different cultures you can think of, with members of every class, ideology and race.

North America has always been multicultural since being founded by all cultures of Europeans, such as Spanish (later Mexican), British, French, Russian (Alaska) and inhabited by native Aboriginals, all coexisted as different cultures in North America. It is just easier to lump those different than us as Multicultural as a political ethnic vote getter or by special interest groups looking for an excuse for their political or cultural actions, criminal or otherwise to greedily suckle on the creamy full bosom of the taxpayer teat to fund what no one else is interested in but their own special ideals.

Multiculturalism or any culture will never work if those who refuse to assimilate into mainstream society by adhering to our democratic laws, neglect education to improve their lives, use criminal acts as an cultural excuse, while continually demanding to be accommodated by a society of their peers they falsely deem racist or prejudiced because liberal ideologies has lost its grip on economic reality

Germany once used the race card with Jews, Gays, Gypsies as well eradicating cultural groups as an end to means to justify their economic actions from riots, political change to terrorism and genocide.

Post war Germany learned from past horrors and understood more than anyone what it meant to try to get multiculturalism to work. When the Berlin wall fell in 1989 East Germans flocked into West Germany and soon saw West Germans pitted against East Germans, both of the same race except different cultural ideologies

There are and never have been Non Western countries which practice Multiculturalism, yet the majority of immigrants who flee to Western countries come from Non Western countries.

The issue of unbending countries whose control is governed by radicalized Islamists smell opportunity, radical Imams see the uneducated masses from all regions of the world, including the Western world as cannon fodder to carry out their violent whims, undermining any possibility of any Multiculturalism as they continue to misinterpret writings they garner from the holy book to spread the seed of destruction to the ignorant masses.

Clearly a one sided social European experiment called “Multiculturalism” was doomed to fail in its inception, with strife ridden Britain, once a holdout, with France cracking down on immigrants and Germany as its last gasp.

Canada, in Multicultural critical care mode is witnessing Canadians in polls willing to pull the plug and let Multiculturalism die a slow death.
