95,000 Evenflo Majestic high chairs are being recalled due to faulty plastic caps and metal screws on either side, which are falling off and causing the back side of the high chair to fall off and collapse.

The hazardous high chairs were made in China and sold at major children's product stores across the US, including Toys "R" Us, Babies "R" Us, Walmart and Burlington Coat Factory between January 2006 and May 2007 for about $80-100.

Customers with Evenflo Majestic chairs bought between this time frame are advised to stop using the chairs immediately.

Evenflo said it had received more than 1,000 reports of plastic caps and screws falling off of the high chairs and 140 reports of the seatbacks reclining or detaching.

The malfunctioning seats resulted in 47 reports of bumps and bruises, 2 reports of broken bones and at least 45 reports of other injuries, Evenflo said.

Children could also choke on the detached parts, the company and agency said. In at least seven cases, the company said caps and screws were found in children's hands or mouths, although no instances of choking were reported.
