Funny Football Moments and Some Painful Injuries

After trying every other brand of snake oil in existence to cure what ails me, I have recently turned to EXCERCISE as my latest CURE ALL / Magic Pill. Well anyway, it all started on Monday of this week, I attended my very first Kickboxing Class, and believe it or not I was keeping up pretty well, UNTIL the instructor made us run around the building twice, I THREW UP! I was not only sick BUT ALSO ashamed because half of my classmates are over 50 years old and none of them THREW UP! One of them came over to where I was stooped over, patted me on the back and said, "don't worry sweetheart you can do it"

While I appreciated her encouragement, I was all RED in the face from absolute embarrassment. After I caused a scene with my weakness, we all returned to the inside of the building where the TORTURE CONTINUED! I told myself that it would all be over soon and that this was my opportunity to save face a little, to prove myself to the rest of my classmates. I did it, I kept going, and I was pleased with my accomplishment. I congratulated myself for taking charge of my own health. I know that in the end I will benefit in many ways. I am going to feel better, look better, and I will be getting my blood sugars under control.  You see, I am a Diabetic; I have been struggling with weight and blood sugar issues since being diagnosed. I have tried EVERYTHING except exercise on a consistent basis. {For good reason too} OUCH!!!  That brings me to my point, and the reason for the title of this article. On Monday when I first started this I could not move my KNEES without feeling excruciating pain, I went back on Wednesday, threw up again and could not move my hips. On Thursday morning I went back for more, did not throw up BUT wiped out my hips even more {if you could only see me trying to walk it would provide you with some comic relief} This means that I am terribly out of shape.  Thankfully getting into shape will make all of the discomfort worth it. After dealing with this experience I started to wonder if anyone else was feeling like I was Feeling, so I did a search on YouTube, the attached videos is what I found. Hopefully you will all find the humor in this and not take it too seriously.

Sounds awful, Resonant Earth! Maybe a kinder, gentler way of getting in shape would be in order.

Personally, I'm sort of a lazy cat kind of person!

Keep in mind also that It has been YEARS since my muscles have been used in this manner, it will take some getting used to, it kind of reminds me of my track and field days, it has been a long time, but I remember the soreness from vigorous excercise, it was someithing I rather enjoyed in my youth.

Yes Karen Hatter it was awful, but I have to admitt that I am feeling better and blood sugar readings are lower since I have started to M_O_V_E around some,  and the PAIN is subsiding as I attend more classes, I did not thow up today:} I seem to have regained the use of my hips and knees.

I'm glad it seems there's been no permanent damage. Good luck with your routine!  :)

As a bit of a fitness fanatic i would advise you to start off gently and if you dont already eat healthy stuff it doesnt have to be boring if you are getting sick eat food with iron in (spinach, baked beans) to boost your bloods red cell count and help metabolise oxygen. Clean impuritys from your blood ( cramberry juice, mint )
