After Comments Made by Howard Stern, Gabourey Sidibe Gets Some Back-Up

Last week Howard Stern called Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe the 'size of a planet' and stated that she 'will die in three years' as she is so fat she's unhealthy. He said that Sidibe is 'the most enormous, fat black chick' he has ever seen.

Celebrities have since come to Sidibe's aid, including Jessica Simpson who said that Howard Stern was disrespectful to Sidibe, and called her beautiful.

Now however an organization called the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance (NAAFA) has come to Sidibe's defense as well saying that just because she is fat does not mean she's unhealthy. As TMZ reports:

"You cannot tell by looking at a person if they are healthy. Fat does not equal disease and thin does not equal healthy."

This comes after the AcaiSupply company sent Sidibe a letter saying that she could have a year's supply of their product free if she gives them the props if she loses weight. The company reportedly told Sidibe that she needs to lose weight to prove Howard Stern wrong and to help the major epidemic of obesity in this country.

Sidibe's mom however is also speaking out in defense of her daughter saying that Howard Stern needs to get a life. She told Inside Edition:

"He can see, you can see, I can see Gabby is a big girl. She's a big woman, so what's wrong with that? She's not like everyone else in the world.

"I don't see him giving jobs out to everybody, so why should we care what he says? He might not hire her, but someone else will."

Howard Stern and company are guilty of being mean spirited and petty.  If this is the type of radio programme they engage in, vote with your fingers - turn him off.
