Gender Relations: Cartel vs Competition

Economic thinking has not been applied enough in social matters; and it should. In economics, the point is always to arrange the situation so that it leads to public benefit. Thus, the environment in which producers operate is meant to be incentivized to the point of benefiting the consumer. For this reason economic theory embraces pure competition, that makes the producers create the best goods at the best prices, and frowns upon cartels and monopolies, in which the producer has the market and can rip off the consumer or push inferior products.

The same logic must be applied to man-woman relationships.

What we see around the world is a grossly imbalanced state of affairs. In some places (such as the Middle East) the women are good to men, and the men are horrible to women. In other places (such as American feminist culture) the men are good to women, and the women are horrible to men. In both cases, the worse group is on top and the better group is at their mercy. And in both cases a great wrong is done.

The men in places such as the Middle East, and the women in places such as American academia, create what amounts to a cartel. They dictate to their gender how they can act and teach it to act in the worst possible manner. The Middle Easterners see it as definition of manhood to beat up one's wife and to have no respect for anything that a woman may say. And the American feminists see it as definition of - strength, intelligence or women's rights - to be complete harpies and to abuse or ruin not only men but also women who do not buy into their party line.

In both cases we see a cartelization that leads to monopolization. And in both cases the victim is the opposite gender. To do away with this highly undesirable state of affairs it becomes necessary to bust up both cartels.

And the way to do that is through large-scale intercultural competition.

What do I mean by this? I mean this: Creating a large-scale flux for intermarriage between cultures. Generally, people operating from sane considerations will choose the partners who will be good to them. The mechanism of intercultural competition for partners will reward both the women and the men who are willing to be good to their partners. This will result in positive relationships between men who are willing to be good to women and women who are willing to be good to men. And the men who are not willing to be good to women, like women who are not willing to be good to men, will be put under competitive pressure to change their practices, or else see the opposite genders leave in large numbers.

The cartelization of manhood with eye toward oppression of women, like cartelization of womanhood with eye toward nastiness to men, both result in distortion of natural man-woman interactions. Specifically it results in ugliness being inflicted upon the other gender, and the other gender being in no position to do anything about it. This wrong is solved through encouraging the natural mechanism of people seeking partners based on how the partner is willing to treat them - and using this mechanism cross-culturally and internationally to bust up both cartels. At which point the natural mechanism will incentivize the willingness to be good to the other gender, resulting in a competitive pressure on men to be good to women and on women to be good to men.

This will go a long way toward improving man-woman relationships. Both the men who are willing to be good to women and the women who are willing to be good to men will emerge as winners, rewarded for their goodness with better relationships; and everyone else will have to improve how they are willing to treat the other gender. Both the wrong of misogyny and the wrong of misandry will be defeated, with those who practice these wrongs made to be losers. The cartelization of men in misogynistic cultures, and the cartelization of women in misandrist ones, will be overcome through a large-scale intercultural flux of men and women for intermarriage. And the result will be better man-woman relationships all across the board.

It is as naive to expect wife-beaters to change their ways as it is to expect American feminists to change their ways. But they can be defeated in their attempts to force wrongful attitudes and arrangements upon others. And this outcome does not require even large-scale government and UN action. All it takes is opening the world to large-scale intercultural flux, resulting in women from cultures where women are good to men but men are bad to women getting together with men from cultures where men are good to women and women are bad to men - and creating much better relationships than they could expect to have on their home turf.

This will create good relationships between the partners involved in the mix. But on an even more significant scale, it will incentivize societies involved toward better man-woman relationships. The cartels will be defeated, opening the climate toward pure competition. And this competition will reward those who are willing to be good to their partners and punish those who are not.

The result will be an incentivization toward better treatment of the opposite gender. And that will do far more to improve man-woman relationships than any amount of therapy or feminist dogma.
