Gestational diabetes is a type of diabetes that occurs in pregnant women. The condition is similar to that of normal diabetes but the reason for it might be different from normal causes of diabetes. Moreover, gestational diabetes may occur for time being and the woman might get normal once the baby is delivered. This happens when the body secrets excessive amount of insulin and the body is not able to handle the large amount of insulin produced.
