The same is the case with every weapon that there is at a person's disposal.
This includes, but is not limited, to: Violence, law, professional authority, political power, money, and all else that can be used by one person againsta another person.
There are just as many - if not more - people misusing these things than there are people misusing, say, language.
This is why I am a firm believer in both the First and the Second amendments. The militia types have the right to have guns; I have the right to tell them that they are morons.
And I likewise have the right to tell people who are misusing their professions to tell them just how wrong they are.

I think, its very American, this right to bear arms. I myself go for shooting, sometimes. I shoot with an air gun in the forest. Air pistol is a good training tool. In Slovakia, we have now a minister, who tries to make arm bearing much more difficult. for normal rifles as well as automatic weapons. I think that pushing people to do psychological evaluations is a sort of government push against the individuals rights of for ex. hunters. I think, some restrictions are necessary, but governments should not get too hysterical.

Didn't know that you can bear arms in Slovakia. As I said, I'm not against it either, but I do have the right to say what I think about people who believe that guns will protect them from smart bombs and nuclear weapons.
