The Health of the Nation - Lies, Lies and More Lies

With universal healthcare once again at the forefront in US politics, one thing is certain: get ready for the misleading information, scare tactics and lies. With Americans holding their breath, Obama is now embarking on a treacherous, yet honorable and needed, path to transform the nation into a system of universal healthcare. So, what's next? Will the President prevail?

Americans need to wake up. Already the conservatives are generating an expensive media campaign of lies (financially backed by the insurance and drug companies) against Obama's healthcare plan. Advertisements are now poisoning our TV screens - false reports of how the Canadian healthcare system is failing and how Americans face the same demise. What Americans should realize is that the United States has one of the worst human care systems in the world, and that the Canadian system far exceeds the U.S. in providing quality healthcare for all its citizens. Though the U.S. may be advanced in medical technology, it doesn't mean that all of its citizens will benefit from it.

The outcome of this debate is difficult to read but one thing is certain, lies will be thrown in every direction to avoid universal healthcare.

Considering all that's occurring now with the misleading advertisements, the question needs to be answered: who's at fault here, the powerful insurance companies protecting their pot of gold or the American public for believing their lies?

First, it was my first encounter with graffiti. The play of interaction with type faces and colors were fascinating. I made my first custom trucker hat and earned myself 15 bucks during sophomore year. Never felt this great knowing something I made actually earned a few lunch meals.
