Heluva Good is recalling products sold widely in the Eastern U.S. The cheese products are being recalled because of the possibility of Listeria contamination.  Description of the recalled Heluva Good products follows:

8 oz. plastic cup containers of Heluva Good Port Wine Cold Pack Cheese Food
UPC 73570 55503
Sell by date between 11/15/2010 through 12/15/2010

8 oz. plastic cup containers of Heluva Good Sharp Cheddar Cold Pack Cheese Food
UPC 73570 55501
Sell by date between 11/15/2010 through 12/15/2010

The possible Listeria contamination was discovered as a result of sampling done by state authorities in Wisconsin.  No illnesses have been reported due to consuming this product.  As a precaution, Heluva Good is recalling their products.
If you have the Heluva Good products described above, do not eat them.  Return them to the store where you bought them or phone Heluva Good Consumer Affairs at 800 242 2423.
Listeria bacteria do not make the food smell or taste off.  You cannot tell if the food is contaminated by Listeria without lab testing.  Do not take a chance on your food.  Listeria can cause a wide range of food poisoning from mild discomfort to death.
